'What we save and what we pave will determine the future of the Florida we know and love.'

Conservation Florida, a leading nonprofit that works to preserve and protect Florida’s natural resources and environment, is launching a new docuseries, Protect Our Paradise, along with Crawford Entertainment and the Discover Florida Channel.

The six-episode series will stream globally on the Discover Florida Channel. It explores Florida’s wild and unique destinations and spotlights the more than 100,000 acres of land that are lost each year to development, critical lands local endangered species, such as the Florida panther, rely on for survival.

“I’ve been exploring Florida’s beauty my whole life, so seeing the environmental challenges we face was difficult,” said Chad Crawford, Protect Our Paradise host and founder of Crawford Entertainment. “The land that we love is being threatened like never before — and let’s face it, we’re all part of the problem.”

But Crawford and Conservation Florida are confident Floridians will be a part of the solution, too.

The series calls Floridians to action, with inspirational messages meant to encourage viewers to join Conservation Florida and its partners in protecting the Sunshine State’s environment and habitat.

Episodes feature work undertaken by various organizations and conservationists, including MANG Apparel, Carlton Ward Jr., Clay Henderson and more.

“Florida is my home,” Conservation Florida CEO Traci Deen said. “It’s also home to nearly 22 million other people, and that number is growing by the minute. What we save and what we pave will determine the future of the Florida we know and love.”

In addition to inspiring individuals to do their part, the series also serves as an educational tool for those interested in conservation, sustainability and environmental protection.

To watch, individuals can download the Discover Florida Channel app or visit its website.

Conservation Florida is a statewide accredited land conservancy that works to protect the state’s water, wildlife, natural habitats and wildlife corridors.
